Hi Joanne! I take a screenshot, then crop everything else out of the picture. For the projection itself I actually inserted the cropped picture onto a Powerpoint slide with a black background - that way the only thing that shows is the text message. Thanks for stopping by!
You can also use the snipping tool to snip the pic, copy and paste it onto the ppt slide. I the snipping tool any time I want to copy anything off the internet.
Hi Sharon, I have added a link to the post that will take you to a video demonstration of how to use this service - it was working great this morning! Good luck!
Hi Connie, I used Snag-It (https://www.techsmith.com/snagit.html) for this screencast. It's an intuitive, easy to use program, but does require purchase of a license and installation. Another terrific screencasting program I would recommend that is free is Screencast-o-matic (http://screencast-o-matic.com/home). Both work very well!
I love this! Is there any way for me to email you? I have a couple questions for you. Thanks for any help!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay - it's been a busy week! You bet, my email is facsclassroomideas@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteWhat cute idea! I bet your students think you are hip and happening. ;)
ReplyDeleteHow do you do it?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I just saw the link at the top. Mine didn't work though. My three speech bubbles came out empty. Maybe because I was doing it on my iPhone ????
ReplyDeleteHi there!
DeleteMight be the iPhone, but it sounds like a format issue. You have to enter the messages exactly like the example, name/colon/text, repeat
Cat: Meow!
Me: Why can't you let me sleep in on a Saturday???
Cat: Hungry!
Me: Arrrrghhh.
Okay, that was ridiculous, but you get the idea.
Good luck!
Denise
Super neat idea! I'm so doing this!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! How do you just capture the "message" on the screen so all the extra info on the page doesn't show?

DeleteWhat site/program did you use to make the video demonstration?
